Over the past year, the teachers and students of Lincoln Jr. High have discovered some AMAZING books. Before teaching at Lincoln, I wouldn't have given much thought to picking up Young Adult Literature, but over this past year, it has become my new passion. I think that some of the most entertaining, fast-paced literature published today is by authors focusing on Young Adult Lit. Because of this, I found it VERY difficult to come up with the Top Five Books that I've ever read. My list changes regularly, but as for now, here it is. As for you reading this, post your Top Five Favorite Books, and we'll see how our lists compare : )

I'm currently reading dear john by nicholas sparks. im at the point were john just got on is second leave after he was away over seas for nearly a year. he and savannah got in a huge fight because savannah was gone all the time with her friends and she wasn't spending enough time withjohn He got mad because he wnted to spend some tome with savannah. she got mad because he was acting like a jerk in front of her friends because he was going to take her out to eat but she had already made plans with her friend that they had seen the past couple days. so he was just sitting of to the side. when he woke up the next day she wasn't laying on the bed next to him she was already at work. when she arived she was 2 hours late. she apolojized once she got through the door. john asked her why she was late. she said that she was with a girl that said she was her rolemodel. john told her that he didn't feel as if they were spending as much time together as they should have been. savannah and john started arguing and john left to go fora walk. when he got back she was reading a book while she sat on the bed thiming of them. john said that he was doing the same. they put aside their differances and turned off the light and went to sleep.

I just finished DOG SONGS by Gary paulsen.It was pritty good Russel the main charcter headed north.there he found a woman-girl that was almost frozen and was pregne.Russelwas running out of food so he had to leave the woman-girl. He killded a large white bear. What i didn't like was the ending beacuse it gust said that Russel whent to the edge to find a village so they could help the girl.So it was a pritty good book.
